Angel Reese, the star player of the Chicago Sky, has been on a whirlwind journey this offseason. From strutting down the Victoria Secret runway to landing acting roles on Netflix's 'The Hunting Wives', Reese has been a busy bee. But amidst her diverse endeavors, basketball kept calling her name.
The 3x3 startup league, Unrivaled, founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, wanted their megastar back. And Reese, true to her word, obliged. She signed a deal to play the final three games of the season, joining her Rose BC teammates once again.
"From the first day Unrivaled started, they've been calling me to come back," Reese said, echoing the sentiment of many. Her return to the league was a natural fit, as she was a key player in Rose BC's championship-winning season.
"She's Rose basketball," teammate Kahleah Copper emphasized. "The culture we created was on her back."
Reese's absence from the court was brief. In her first two games back with Rose BC, she seamlessly resumed her role, averaging a double-double, including a stellar 15-rebound performance against the Laces. This win secured Rose BC's playoff spot.
If Rose BC progresses to the Semifinals, they will take center stage at the Barclays Center on March 2, playing in a double-header. Reese's versatility and talent have once again solidified her place as a cornerstone of the team, leaving fans eager to see her in action.
